The property is part of the State Significant, Maroondah Site of Biological Significance No. 16. which in turn is part of a much larger habitat that includes other Maroondah Sites of Significance and Manningham Biosites extending to Warrandyte Park.
The main weed to be removed is Pittosporum undulatum, Sweet Pittosporum. Where the plant cannot be pulled out of the ground, but is cut, the cut surface will need to 'painted' using a 'dabber' with herbicide.
