Planting yam daisy seed for indigenous food and fibre garden - please note new location

Meet at Leanganook Track, near the junction of Farran St and Murphy St.Our first task will be to start propagating the yam daisy seed we have collected from the 50 murnong (Microseris walteri) that we purchased from Frances Cincotta late last year. We will work from the instructions that Brian Bainbridge and Frances have given us to guide our first trial. Then we will plant about some more of the Burgan left over from last year (they were too small to plant then).  We did about 40 of these last Sunday at Old Farm Bend, and this working bee will finish this task.We will also do some weeding adjacent to the walking track.  The weeds are trying to out-compete our 2019 planting and we can't allow that!  Bring weeding tools and brush-cutters if you have them.  Don't forget stout footwear, gardening gloves, and probably sunscreen and hat.  And morning tea will be available.
