Site preparation behind Best Motors
Sunday 26 August will be mainly site preparation, but hopefully some planting as well. And then Sunday 2 September will be a big planting morning.
Note that we will start at 9.30 am, our usual Spring starting time (even if late August is not quite Spring!)
We will be meeting at Best Motors, where there is plenty of parking on the south side of the highway. We recommend that you NOT park on the other side, as crossing the road can be hazardous.
This is a slightly difficult site with some steep sections, and old blackberry runners. Also, we will be plantng among existing trees and spread over a fair length of the creek
Some (but not all) holes will have been dug. So please bring mattocks, and other planting and digging tools if you have them (although we usually have plenty of tools on the day). Please wear stout footwear (rubber boots would be an advantage in some areas) and dress for the weather (of course). Bring good gardening gloves to guard against brambles..
As usual, a great morning tea will be provided.
