Restoring and managing native grasslands on rural roadsides - Where to from Woorndoo?

In 2017, The Woorndoo Land Protection Group was awarded funds from Victoria's Community & Volunteer Action Grant Program to extend the successful grassland restoration on the Woorndoo-Streatham Road at Woorndoo.

The two-year project includes detailed scientific experiments on planting and sowing grassland species, and the restoration of a further 1.25ha of diverse temperate native grassland.

Those interested in participating in the Community Day will enjoy a guided walk through the Woorndoo Common, expert speakers discussing issues affecting native temperate grasslands, grassland management, what species call native grasslands home and an information session with the Woorndoo Land Protection Group.

A full program of the day's events can be found on the attached flier.
