Panyyabyr Landcare Group and Southern Farming Systems will be holding a workshop to present farmers with options for improving sodic soils for increased production on Tuesday 28 May at Karabeal.
With around 60% of farms in south west Victoria limited by sodic subsoils, strategies to manage these soils can greatly improve pasture rooting depth, persistence and overall farm productivity.
Cam Nicholson, Nicon Rural will discuss with local producers the options available to them when sodic soils are the limiting factor.
