Tarragal Landcare group based at Portland will be hosting a Biochar focused Field day/workshop!
On Wednesday the 22nd of November the Tarragal Landcare group based at Portland will be hosting a Biochar focused Field day/workshop discussing some of the benefits this carbon-based substance can deliver to the soil structure as a soil conditioner.
Guest speaker for the day will be Doug Pow, a farmer from Western Australia who has been using Biochar across his farm over the last years and measuring the resulting benefits. Doug has been using Biochar in several ways including: feeding it to cattle and as a soil conditioner for his Avocado growing enterprise. A visit to the group’s Biochar demo site located at Gorae West will also take place on the day.
