This project aims to engage with people experiencing social disadvantage to help their overall health and inclusion into community groups. We hope to build confidence in landcare and friends groups to accept and encourage membership of other socially disadvantaged groups working with the Elixir Focus Group.

The project will see 1,200 plants planted on two sites in the Moyne Shire.  In the process we hope to encourage new volunteers and members to local landcare groups and friends groups.  This is done by giving the participants (from socially disadvantaged groups - due to isolation or mental health issues) the expereince of contributing to important on ground works and understanding the benefits of managing the natural environment.  Through interaction and discussion with landcare and firends group members during the 2 days on different sites we hope the passion and vision of theswe group members influences and encourages the participants to continue involvement into the future.
