We will check trees and tree guards from last year's planting in preparation for more work on this part of the site in the next few weeks.
The Yinnar, Yinnar South Landcare group have been given the opportunity to re-vegetate a large site close to Morwell National Park. The project will extend the available habitat for threatened and vulnerable species that have been recorded in the park and/or Billys Creek Valley.
The east boundary of the site is accessible by vehicle, and in August 2019 we planted tubestock protected with browser guards.
It's time to check this planting for weeds, damaged guards, plants that failed etc., so we'll spend a couple of hours and a pleasant Sunday afternoon doing this.
Due to the Current COVID 19 epidemic, we need to observe physical / social distancing. Please RSVP if you can come, and we'll send you a registration form and job safety guidelines.
Useful tools may be hammers, hoes etc. Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear.
