This event is part of
WARRAGUL RABBIT REDUCTION PROGRAM
THE TASK: install wire netting on the fence line between the railway line and the adjacent properties on the south side. We may have to clear or move some slashed vegetation. In spite of the hot weather, some of the area is very wet, boggy and difficult to access, so we will have to carry tools and material to some places.
SUPERVISOR: Dom will assign us to work groups and tell us where to go and what to do.
BASE - 17 TOORONGO COURT: From here we will break into work groups, then walk or car pool to our work area. We will return here for BBQ lunch.
BYO: Water and morning tea to eat at work site.
WEAR: Work gear, boots, gloves and hat. Bring or wear gumboots for swampy areas.
EQUIPMENT: Dom will provide. Bring wire netting clip pliers, if you have them.
BBQ: meat, bread, drinks etc will be provided.
Please advise if you have special dietary requirements.
RSVP by phone or email by Thurs 6th so we can sort catering and work groups.
BACK UP DATE: If extreme heat is predicted or a Total Fire Ban is declared we will postpone till Sat 5th February
