Join us for a presentation on the wildlife of the Gippsland Plains Grassy Woodland, then we will get out into the field to see what we can discover in a local reserve, including a demonstration of a moth trap in action.

The Red Gum woodland has lots of fauna that live in the hollows of these old trees and Jim Reside of Wildlife Unlimited will show us who is living in this area between Morwell, Rosedale and Cowwarr. Following the presentation we will head out with torches for a guided spotlight tour in a reserve. We will be setting up Elliot traps in the reserve which will be checked the next morning in another session. Ken Harris from the Latrobe Valley Field Naturalists will also be setting up a night light to help us check out the local Moth population.
Venue: Traralgon (including a local reserve). Pizza dinner provided.
Bring a torch, wear appropriate footwear and warm clothes.
Bookings Essential, contact David on daviaker@gmail.com or Call 0488 035 314 during business hours on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
