Bob Edgar, worked first for Soil Conservation Authority and then community liaison for the Department of Conservation, Forestry and Lands.
Growing up in Chiltern where his father was a beekeeper, Bob’s love of the country took him off on environmental and agricultural study pathways, through which his life’s career would be focussed. From years with the Soil Conservation Authority and as a teacher in Benalla and later seven years at Dookie College, Bob then worked with early landcare in government department positions. He had a particular interest in and given responsibility for the relationships between the Department of Conservation, Forestry and Lands and the community.
