Linking fragmented ecosystems with corridors for endangered & threatened flora & fauna
Two biodiversity wildlife corridors are practical on ground works to protect and improve flora and fauna biodiversity, improve the landscape, reduce greenhouse gases (planting more than 6,600 indigenous trees & grasses), assist adaptation to climate change (by creating connected areas which allow species to migrate and adapt to a changing environment).
Toolern Vale Landcare Group is a volunteer organisation, working with twenty two landowners, Melbourne Water, Vision for Werribee Plains (V4WP) and Melton Shire to create these corridors.
