Resource for landholders, information, sustainable land use
The Mornington Peninsula Landcare Network is currently developing a "Small Rural Property Guide" with the assistance of a $6,660 Community Grant from the Port Phillip and Western Port Catchment Management Authority. The brochure will address the growing need in the region for engagement and education of landholders, particularly "tree-changers" and "sea-changers". These landholders may not have a background in sustainable land management but are keen to 'do the right thing'. The "Small Rural Property Guide" will be a terrific resource, providing links to helpful organisations and provide information on issues frequently encountered by land managers on the Mornington Peninsula, including weed control, pest control and fire.For further information, contact Jacqui Salter, Landcare Facilitator: jacqueline.salter@mornpen.vic.gov.au
