Planting on National Tree Day.

How about doing your bit to make Monash greener?

Planting on National Tree Day

How about doing your bit to make Monash greener?

The Friends of Scotchmans Creek and Valley Reserve, in co-operation with the City of Monash and Scouts Victoria, is holding its annual National Tree Day planting in Mount Waverley on Sunday, 29 July 2012, starting at 9:00 am.

Melbourne Water has provided the money for us to buy the native plants and the planting site is Fairway Reserve. Registration is at the Scout Halls car park at the end of Fairway Avenue, Mount Waverley, Melways Ref.: 70:E5.

It’s a “family-friendly” event – everyone can help and all are welcome. Round up your friends, get a team together from work or make it your community group’s day out in the fresh air.

The Scouts will be cooking up a scrumptious free BBQ, so no worries about lunch.

If you want more details, ring Alan Moore on 9561 0122, or see the Planet Ark/Toyota National Tree Day web site for Mount Waverley, 3149.
