We care for this Healthland (and ecosystem) that is the largest remnant of Sandringham Heath, that would be protected by the Commonwealth if, thankfully, there is more on French Island. It was saved from "development" by a community campaign in the 1970s.
Our work involves mainly weeding, with some planting and seed collection. We help provide guides when it is open to the public, so that others can enjoy the flowers and animals of this precious place.
Come to our regular care sessions to chat or work 10:00am-12:00pm on the second Saturday of the month, All, and all ages, are very welcome.
