Habitat corridor Revegetation Planting Weeding This project will increase biodiversity by enhancing riparian habitat along Balcombe Creek. This includes placement of logs, rocks and nest boxes, revegetation and weed removal (including three WONS) along a 1 km stretch (~4 ha) of public land managed by Mornington Peninsula Shire.
Balcombe Moorooduc Landcare Group inspires school children to connect with the natural environment. Penbank grade 4 kids have now for 4 years built habitats for their selected wildlife species under the guidance of their teacher, Matt Chambers. They even produced an internet page to show their efforts.
