The Wedderburn CMN has two motion activated cameras set up on an active malleefowl mound in the Wedderburn area to monitor the breeding activities of a pair of birds. Permits were gained through Parks Victoria to sett he cameras up.
This data collection adds to footage and data gathered last year by the same method.
The data gathered will be developed in to an information package for the community to learn about these magnificent birds as well as being shared with the Victorian Malleefowl Recovery Group, Parks Victoria and DSE.
