Weeds are quietly infiltrating our neighbourhoods, threatening biodiversity and impacting everyday life - bindi's are a perfect example causing repeated punctures in bike/pram tyres ! Gazanias may look pretty but they are on the march and taking over areas where our indigenous vegetation should be.

This project has been prompted by community concern in White Hills, Epsom, Huntly and Goornong. It is a collaboration between Northern Bendigo Landcare and the Whipstick Northern Corridor Progress Association and aims to;
* Improve knowledge about weed identification and suitable control techniques
* Inspire community action as Weed Warriors
* Reduce the number of weeds and offer native alternatives
* Foster community by encouraging residents to work together to achieve a shared goal
