Connecting kids with nature is a very strong focus of our group. We enjoy a wonderful relationship with Huntly PS, Epsom PS, Huntly Kinder and have hosted many other schools and youth groups. Activities have included;
* Student Field Days and Backyard Learning Days at outdoor sites with rotational environmental education activities
* Innovative 'Kids Teaching Kids' days where students take the lead and teach their peers
* Stormwater pit stencilling
* Nest box building, mentored by Menshed volunteers
* National Schools Tree Day planting events
* Clean Up Australia Day - schools
* Gazania Gang
* Waterwatch
* Propagation of Whirrakee Wattles
* Bushtucker gardens, native gardens and vegetable gardens
