Indian Mynas are a feral bird specie in Australia. They are very aggressive, competing for breeding sites with rosellas, kookaburras, galahs and small native birds, pushing young and eggs out of nesting cavities or simply nesting on top of them.
They are a significant threat to native species and their numbers will climb alarmingly unless action is taken.
Grant funding from the City of Greater Bendigo launched this project which has now become self-sustaining, allowing passionate members of our group to coordinate this Indian Myna control project offering traps to the community.
If you are in the Bendigo area and interested in a trap for $35 and information on how to manage Indian Myna populations at your place, get in touch with us by emailing landcareversusmynas@gmail.com
