The Lake Boga and District Landcare Group
The Lake Boga and District Landcare group was established in 1989 and was called the Fish Point Landcare group. The group reactivated in 2007 and now has 22 members.
The group focuses on establishing a wetland called Turtle Lagoon on the edge of Lake Boga. The group is very proactive and has been successful in applying for grants from many different organisations including: FRRR and the Victorian Volunteer Small Grants program. Group activities include: removal of Boxthorns, tree planting, working bees and events that promote well being amongst community members. The group also enters in the KABV Tidy Town Awards each year.
The Lake Boga and District Landcare group welcomes new members and volunteers. Please contact Tricia Pollard, Secretary of the group, by phoning 03 5037 2527 or emailing info@burrabliss.com.au for more further information.
