We’ll be transplanting our divisions of some of our successful semi aquatic plantings to a downstream location in the creek.
On Sunday, we need a small band of volunteers to help plant out some of our successful semi aquatic species including:
• Austral Gypsywort (Lycopus australis)
• Marsh club-sedge (Bolboschoenus medianus)
• River club-sedge (Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani)
These large growing species are all doing well in the creek and help keep weeds at bay.
Planting them into their favourite niches is wet and muddy work.
Please wear clothing that you won’t mind getting dirty and that’s suitable for the weather. The only way to (mostly) avoid getting wet is to wear waders. Please bring your own if you have some. We have a few sets of waders to share, but there’s no guarantee we’ll have your size.
We'll supply the tools and light refreshments afterwards. .
Please use the RSVP email link above to let us know if you're coming. CoVID regulations restrict us to 20 people in an outdoor setting.
Meet at National School Lane Campbells Creek for a 10:00 a.m. start. There's plenty of car parking space. If you arrive late we’ll be working along the creek, probably just upstream.
