Come along for a splash around the ‘Lewis Swamp’ while planting wetland plants. Late morning tea included. All welcome.
Friends of Campbells Creek have recently won significant funding. For the next year we’ll be focussing a lot of our attention on the wetland area near Lewis Drive.
This wetland already has 11 species of semi-aquatic plants growing but we want to increase their numbers.
On Sunday the 15th of October, come along and learn about some of the larger wetland plants that grow in the creek as we divide them and re-plant them into the wetland.
Meet at the end of Lewis Drive Castlemaine (past the new Tonks Hardware).
We’ll be working in water, so please bring gumboots or waders, gloves that can work in the water as well as the usual hat and clothing suitable for the day and your own drinking water. You may want a change of clothes in case you fall in!
Hope you can come along.
