Planting murnong tubers at indigenous food and fibre garden

The week, we will start earlier (8.30) because it is going to be very warm later in the day. We will be planting a few pots of murnong tubers, plus the most strenuous bits will be getting some holes in the right places where we can control weed regrowth, and a bit of additional weeding in selected spots. We will hold over the direct seeding to the next working bee on 14th March.

You can park at the start of the Leanganook walking track (close to where Happy Valley Road intersects with Verlin St.)  [And see photo below to remind you of the site.]

As per usual practice:

•    don't come if you have any COVID symptoms

•    bring hand sanitiser

•    wear stout footwear and gloves, plus sun-protection

•    bring your own drink/snack.  We are still avoiding the sharing of goodies for morning tea, but we will have a morning-tea break and chat.

Please register at clgvolunteers99@gmail.com with the heading WORKING.
