Weeding and mulching our plantings
Let's meet at the corner of Colles Rd and Farran St, and work downstream along Forest Creek and Leanganook Track. We have done significant planting in this area in 2018 and 2019, culminating in a mammoth effort on National Tree Day at the end of July this year.
This working bee is to weed the 2018 plants, weed and spread mulch around the 2019 plants, and perhaps do some direct seeding and watering as well.
Leanganook Track will be busy in coming weeks with a run (Run the Maine, 27 September) and a walk (Field Naturalists from everywhere, 5-6 October). This working bee is a chance to make everything look good.
As always, wear stout footwear and gloves, and bring weeding tools if you have them.
Morning tea will be provided.
