This event is part of
Clearing woody weeds along Forest Creek
Our next working bee is on Sunday 12 March, at the summer commencement time of 9.00 am. Meet at Tute's Cottage on Greenhill Avenue.
Our task is to continue with the work we commenced at the February working bee. We will clear some woody weeds from the channel section of Forest Creek between Tute's Cottage and Wheeler St. People can work in teams of about three to cut weeds, paste the stalks, and remove debris.
Some details:
- There is some shade in the area, but bring hats, sunscreen and insect repellent.
- Also bring gumboots (although there is very little water still there) or other stout footwear, and gloves of course.
- We'll have some tools (including a couple of new weed wands), but extra long-handled cutters or strong secateurs would be handy.
- We will start at 9.00 am and have morning tea at about 11.00.
