This event is part of
This planting day is a key part of our Hepburn Shire Biodiversity project, on which we are planning to put 900 trees, shrubs, grasses and ground-covers in the ground.
Our aim is to create an area that can be used to both investigate indigenous culture and local food and fibre plants. Please come along and see the progress so far, which has converted a blackberry infested wasteland into a carefully cleared and reshaped landscape ready for planting. The basics of the DJANDAK designed yarning circle and community meeting area is already in place. Help us make the next step, planting the associated food and fibre forest of local species.
If anyone wishes to stay for our light lunch after the planting, please RSVP and also let us know of any food restrictions you or your children may have.
Many of our Landcare members have Working with Children certificates.Hoping to see you there!
