In conjunction with DSE the Stanley Landcare group is restoring Blue Gum Gully through weed removal, fencing, track restoration and replanting with indigineous species.
Since 2006 the Stanley Landcare commenced a program in conjunction with DSE to restore this area. The program included weed removal, removing fallen trees blocking the existing track site, construction of the gravel track, fencing and replanting the understory using indigineous native species. This work has been undertaken largely by volunteers with the assistance of Leith McKenzie in DSE. Monitoring of weed activity, path raking and maintenace of tree guards is continuing regularly.
