Over the past 25 years our group has established more than 330 ha of revegetation and protected many hectares of our fragmented remnant grey box, yellow box and redgum ecosystems. We concentrate on the protection and establishment of larger tracts of native vegetation throughout the farmland to increase the habitat available and the connectivity throughout the landscape. Our emphasis on shrubs and grassy understory inclusion has increased over the years, as well as inclusion of nest boxes. We are very particular about the site preparation with particular emphasis on weed control, and this has lead to successful plant establishment project areas without the need for watering over summer. We aim to continue establishing and protecting native vegetation each year and are always on the lookout for new sites and landholders to be involved.
