Honeysuckle & Spring Creek Landcare Group has established 5 demonstration sites to show how weed establishment is directly related to the land management decisions that you make.
The field day will visit each site.

Yes – You can turn weeds on & off

Come and see:

  • How Cape Weed can be turned on and off
  • How to regenerate native pastures to reduce weed burden
  • The control of Couch Grass
  • The benefits and limitations of mulching
  • Why using seaweed can enhance growth, but only for a short time
  • The benefits of using grazing cages
  • How long should your pasture height get before grazing?

Meeting place:  Sheep yards at Ross Road, Tallangatta Valley.

Directions:  Turn off the Murray Valley HW into Tallangatta Creek Road, go 19 km and turn right into Honeysuckle Road.  Then right into Ross Road and park opposite sheep yards

Please bring your own lunch.

You can also join the day at 12.45 at 631 Spring Creek Rd, Tallangatta South.
