A display board with visual and text descriptions of weed species in the Alpine Region is proposed for the Dinner Plain Hut.
This will allow people to know what they are looking at, who to contact and how not to spread potential weeds. The board will comprise the top 10 most problematic weeds in the area.
At present (2016) this is a current / to be completed project. The display board has been completed, and we are now awaiting approval to use good quality photographs depicting the top 10 most common or threatening weed species. We are also looking into finding a suitable photographer or person to donate the pictures we require. At completion of this project information will help educate locals and visitors as well as provide valuable 'what to do if you see this weed' directions.
