This project documents the implementation of a Volunteer Action project funding received in 2010 which focuses on activities designed to encourage volunteering and membership recruitment to Baranduda Landcare
Baranduda Landcare has received funding to provide skills training for Landcare volunteers and volunteer managers.The key objectives of the grants program are to:- Increase membership and volunteering in Victorian Landcare;- Support and strengthen Landcare groups and networks ability to engage with their local and broader community taking into consideration respective needs and priorities;- Increase the ability of groups and networks to deliver Natural Resource Management outcomes.The first step in the program was a 3 hour ‘Introduction to Managing Volunteers’ training session (refer attached flyer for more details) held at the Baranduda Community Centre on Thursday 1st July from 11am to 2pm.Lunch and the training session was provided at no cost to participants. Follow-up sessions catering to participant / group needs may be organised and delivered by AWVRB. Who is this training relevant to?
