In Dec 2007 The Waitchie Landcare Group conducted a Rabbit Ripping
Program. The group used Walter Bruckmann, a registered contractor for the ripping. Warrens were cross ripped on roadsides and the ripping project was funded through the State Governments 2nd Generation Landcare grants program. Warrens were also ripped on private property by adjoining landholders, at their own expense, at the same time.
