John Hick’s site on Molyneaux road has been approved to be funding from Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) to fence the 11 ha site which contain remanent Mallee, Pine and Belah communities. The site has a large range of plant species making it ideal for regeneration. However this site is a former house and shed block so there is a lot of rubbish, tin and scrape metal scattered throughout. Under the Mallee Environmental Employment Program (MEEP) a MEEP crew will be assigned to help clean up the site and erect the fence this work is expected to be completed by the end of June this year. Once finalised it promises to be a great refuge for Native Wildlife.
