The Culgoa Landcare Group’s focus is on pest plant and animal control, protection of remnant vegetation and revegetation within the group area. In a response to the high presence of pest species in the area Landholders united and formed a Rabbit Action Group in 1990, to carry out control programs targeting feral species such as rabbits. The focus of the group altered later and led to the formation of a Landcare group, broadening its attention on other weeds, pest animals, sustainable agricultural production and revegetation activities.
