This project is live

Yea High School Landcare activities.
Over two days this week students from Yea High School worked with UGLN Landcare Facilitator Chris Cobern to monitor the nest boxes that other Yea High School students had installed along the rail trail at Limestone, and from the Cheviot Tunnel to Molesworth.
We found many sugar gliders using the nesting boxes and also found Ringtail Possums in 5 of the boxes.
The students also helped with the maintenance of Landcare revegetation sites at Limestone and near the Cheviot Tunnel area by removing and bundling tree guards and stakes for re-use in other Landcare revegetation projects.
The students were very enthusiastic and a great help.
The volunteering was part of the Yea High School's Community Service Program.
