Wildlife Recovery Project – Murrindindi Shire
This project is investigating how local fauna have been recovering since the 2009 fires.
Focus on Fauna is a community project set up by local the UGLN to survey wildlife on fire-affected private properties in parts of Strath Creek, Flowerdale the Yea River catchment and Kinglake Ranges. The project is using remote recording equipment on local properties to obtain a snapshot of which animals are sharing our recovering landscape. The project will focus primarily on arboreal mammals, bats, frogs and owls.
