The site is being set up for the benefit of the community, to demonstrate management of saline discharge sites.

The site is 9kms north of Broadford on Dockerys Road near the intersection of Sugarloaf Creek Road.
The serious impact of salinity on land health and farm productivity is not obvious in many parts of the South West Goulburn (SWG) Region.  It is planned that by establishing this demonstration site that local residents and the wider community will be given the opportunity to learn more about how saline conditions can be managed for farm productivity and ecological improvement.
