This large project involved our group members, Nick and Katie Dopheide and the Management Committee of the Rail Reserve at Yarrabee on the McKinnon Creek bed and surrounding area.

Large areas of Spiny Rush have been sprayed and burnt. Fencing has been attended to keep stock out in this area and along the creek for 2 km. Tree planting of the area involved our landcare group, the Rail Reserve Management Committee, Friends of the Hamilton - Coleraine Rail Trail and students of the Hamilton and Alexandra College.
