This project started on 1 Aug 2018
Loss of wild trees & shrubs from SW Victoria has been happening long since the Koroit to Hamilton Railway line was built in the late 1880s. Land managers are confronted with a lack of known local seed provenance when they attempt to put back what was.
The SW Alliance - Regional Roads Vic + Fulton Hogan + Basalt to Bay Landcare + Sustainable Agriculture Small Grants 2015-16
Learnings so far: - Regional Roads staff are great tree planters - 95% of sheoaks survived!!! - The site needs a mixture of stages of planting to get them through what can be a very dry summer.
There are no upcoming events.
