In early October 2013 the Basalt to Bay Landcare Network with support from the St Helens Landcare Group and the Friends of Pallisters Reserve - won a $5000 grant from the Pacific Hydro Sustainable Communities Fund. This grant has been used to conduct a pest management program around the St Helens Reserve and Pallisters Reserve - to protect Southern Brown Bandicoots known, and places where we think they might spread to. In 2014 we coordinated an integrated pest management program with The Australian Blue Gum Company, P.F Olsen, private landowners and Parks Victoria. This has enlarged the original scope of works well beyond the magnitude of the $5k.
