Become a Citizen Scientist at Uralla - get out of the house on Saturday 7 September!
Grab your walking shoes and join Friends of Uralla volunteers from 10:30am-12pm at Uralla Nature Reserve and help record the fauna, flora and fungi with your phones or cameras on iNaturalist app! – just bring phone or camera, on your own or with family, friends, your dog (on lead), everyone welcome!
Partnering with Baw Baw Shire, Friends of Uralla are participating in the global Biodiversity Blitz, to identify as many species of plants, animals, fungi, and weeds in our area. We want you to explore our tracks and use your phones or cameras to post photos onto the iNaturalist app.
Owned by Trust for Nature, Uralla is a beautiful 44 hectare undulating nature reserve located on Giles Road in Trafalgar. You might spot the rare Trafalgar millepede in the leaf litter, or an echidna, birds, koalas, rodents, insects, or some colourful fungi or weed species!
After you finish posting your findings, join us at Uralla Reserve information shelter for a chat and free barbeque at 12.00pm, kindly supplied by the neighbouring Central Agri Group. BYO water bottles.
The morning will be a fun and free event, great for our mental/physical wellbeing, supporting understanding the diverse species living in our local environment. Numbers will be limited so register now! See you there!
