The Gelantipy Landcare Group formed in 1998 and the group area covers 10,490 hectares. This area encompasses Butcher?s Ridge, Gelantipy, Wulgulmerang and Black Mountain. The group is situated approximately 100 km north east of the City of Bairnsdale. The Gelantipy Landcare Group administer the employment of the Mid-Snowy Pest Plant and Animal Coordinator, who services three local Landcare Groups.  This position is responsible for property management planning, bulk herbicide purchases, organising cross property aerial weed spraying and advice on weed management.
