Interested local community members and School and other groups coming together to enhance, protect and restore the natural environment through increasing knowledge and the conduct of on-ground works.
On-ground works consist mainly of revegetation, pest and weed control undertaken at:
• the Ah-Yee Creek Project, a vegetation corridor linking Bay and Paynesville Roads;
• The Eagle Point Flora & Fauna Reserve;
• the Bluff lookout area and
• the Silt Jetties.
Further activities involve promotion of places to visit, enjoy and learn about the natural environment including maintenance of walking tracks, placement of bird nesting boxes, maintenance of a micro bat shelter and the placement of interpretative signage at various points of interest.
Development of the Bluff area is currently in progress and once completed will greatly assist in promoting awareness of this area’s cultural and environmental significance.
