Formerly Colquhoun North-Arm Landcare Group, the Lakes Entrance Community Landcare Group is located around Lakes Entrance between Kalmna in the west and Toorloo Arm in the east. The Group represents a diverse cross section of land owners across the area. All aspects of land management are of interest to the Group. In recent times the Group has been focused on restoration of rainforest vegetation types. These activities result in improved biodiversity by restoring vegetation and habitat, as well as contributing to water quality improvements of the Gippsland Lakes, through the reduction of nutrients and sedimentation entrapment functions created by these vegetation types.
The Group is interested in expanding its activities to include other traditional Landcare activities and is keen to attract new members from across the area.
