in conjunction with the East Gippsland Rainforest Conservation Management Network the East Gippsland Shire and the DSE we have been contributing to the restoration of the weed control and planting to restore and future proof this spectacular Rainforest.

The gully has suffered from infestation with garden escapees as well as damage caused by fishermen digging for worms and clearing on the lake shore allowing wind access. Along with weed control we have been involved in planting in the watercourse to reduce damage from high flow events caused by hardening of the catchment as the use of the area upstream changes.
