The Newfield Valley Landcare Group has been working towards restoring the Newfield Valley for over 20 years. They have at one time or another involved every landholder within the Newfield Valley and of late their enthusiasm, success with funding applications and the results of their past environmental work has resulted in more landholders being involved.

The Newfield Valley Landcare Group stands out due to their landscape scale approach to restoring the natural environment in harmony with the dairy and beef production of the area. Years of hard work and dedication have resulted in "over the fence" education and landholders within the area all know the benefits that their neighbours have gotten from their tree planting en-devours resulting in them wanting to do works on their own land.
