The Weerite Landcare Group area is located within the Pomborneit-Weerite fire affected area in the 2009 bushfires. This 2010 / 2011 Recycling for Recovery project will assist landholders with establishing biodiversity links throughout the Weerite area to enhance on farm biodiversity using mixed indigenous species; and through the establishment of resilient, deep rooted, summer active perennial pastures.
