During 2010 tributaries of RAMSAR listed wetlands (including Lake Corangamite) will be fenced and protected through a Lismore Land Protection Group Community Action Grant funded by the Department of Agriculture Fisheries & Forestry.

This project aims to involve new Landcare members in improving waterway management, protecting threatened species and their habitat (including the Growling Grass Frog), reducing erosion and sediment loads, providing shelter for stock and increasing biodiversity and habitat.
