The East Otway Landcare Group membership is from the Deans Marsh, Pennyroyal and Bambra area. The group has been managing and rehabilitating the Bambra Wetlands for over 20 years. The group runs activities with the Deans Marsh school at the wetlands, Bambra Bush and McKays swamp. A recent initiate has been 'Walk the Barwon' a 4 year plan to walk the Barwon River from its source above Forrest to the sea at Barwon Heads.

The East Otways Landcare group (EOLG) was formed in 1989 and is a now a large group consisting of a diverse mix of landholders. The group members interests and knowledge vary widely, but there is a common focus on;
1) waterway protection through revegetation
2) remnant protection and enhancement and
3) developing robust agricultural systems for both productivity and environmental outcomes, such as well integrated farm forestry systems.
